Emmanuel Church

Emmanuel is an Evangelical Anglican Church, under the umbrella of the Edinburgh Diocese of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The congregation is just 18 years old and grew out of the vision of Rev Denis Lennon, who at the time was the Rector of St Thomas's Episcopal Church, Glasgow Road. On walking his dog along the top of Corstorphine Hill, Dennis was struck by the huge number of homes in the Clermiston and Clerwood area, and sensed the call of the Holy Spirit to plant a new congregation at the very heart of these communities.
