Ritchie Precision is a specialised precision engineering business which has been in operation since 1975. In the nineties, demand from the Scottish-based electronic manufacturing industry resulted in Ritchie Precision developing a standard array of spare parts for the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) market. This market has now moved, globally, eastwards with the result that some 80% of Ritchie product is now exported. Niche precision parts are machined, and vary from valves to gears, many of these parts being developed jointly with the relevant client.
