St Stephen's Centre
Shopping Center in Edinburgh, Scotland
St Stephen's opened on twentieth September 2007 and brought new vitality to the city of Kingston upon Hull, delivering a natural extension to the central shopping area. It is home to 52, 000 sq m of prime retail and leisure space and cost J200 million to build, one of the biggest in Europe at the time. St Stephen's was one of most significant and eagerly anticipated regeneration projects in Hull's modern history, forming part of a 15 year, J2bn city centre masterplan, which once complete will rejuvenate six geographical areas, including three prime waterfront sites containing a mix of corporate headquarters, restaurants, attractions, boutique hotels, luxury apartments and Hull's own World Trade Centre.
